I began my journey in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the city's pleasant climate, which is known as the Spring City due to its year-round mild temperatures. I spent the first day exploring the city, visiting the翠湖公园 (Cuihu Park), which is famous for its beautiful lake and surrounding gardens, and the 金马碧鸡坊 (Jinma Biji Square), a bustling commercial area where I had the opportunity to practice my English with the friendly locals.
The next day, I took a train to大理 (Dali), a picturesque town nestled along the banks of the Erhai Lake. The scenery was simply breathtaking, with snow-capped mountains in the distance and azure waters surrounding the town. I spent the afternoon strolling along the洱海 (Erhai)湖滨, taking in the stunning views and the town's unique architecture, which is a blend of Chinese and Tibetan influences.
